About This Course
On completion of the module, students should be able to:
1. Identify the key characteristics in growth and development for children 3 to 8 years of age.
2. Examine the different factors that affect growth and development for children from 3 to 8 years of age.
3. Apply key theories and current research to support understanding of children’s growth and holistic development.
4. Use child development knowledge to analyse children’s learning and behaviour.
5. Demonstrate competence in using various recording methods to observe and interpret young children’s development, behaviour and learning.

Entry Requirements
For applicants who studied in Singapore:
a) 5 GCE ‘O’ level credits including C6 in Chinese Language
All applicants preferably to have at least 1 year of work experience in addition to qualifications.
