What You'll Learn
This module equips students with drafting skills required to produce technical drawings for lighting, scenic, sound, and staging designs in theatre and ‘live’ events. Students are taught how to translate technical hand drawings - lighting plans, set drawings, floor plans - to a digital format with 2D and 3D Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software. Students learn drafting skills that meet the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) standard, which is a recognised benchmark for most theatre and ‘live’ event companies in Singapore and abroad.
Entry Requirements
- 3 GCE ‘O’ level with English language (grade 1-7), Mathematics (grade 1-6) and 1 relevant subject (grade 1-6) with 3 years relevant working experience
- NITEC/ NITEC in Technology/ Services (GPA 3.5 and above) with 2 years relevant working experience
- Higher NITEC/ Higher NITEC in Technology/ Services with 1 year relevant working experience
- Relevant WSQ Diploma + Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 6 with 3 years relevant working experience
