- Recognize a medical emergency situation involving children and infants
- Activate the appropriate emergency response system and follow the Emergency Action Principles
- Perform the necessary and correct first aid treatment to a child/infant casualty based on their injuries
- Perform CPR on children and infants during an emergency
- Perform the necessary first aid treatment for Foreign Body Airway Obstruction on children and infants
What You'll Learn
Child First Aid topics will be embedded into the Standard First Aid Course Syllabus and further enhanced with BCLS + AED Course content.
This course is accredited by SRFAC and aims to provide trainees with knowledge & techniques to recognise and mitigate injuries and medical emergencies like severe breathing difficulties and bleedings not only in adult casualties but also that in children and infants. Trainees who successfully complete the course will receive 3 certifications – in BCLS+AED, SFA, CFA – each valid for two years.
