Diploma (Conversion) in Paramedic Science
About This Course
The vocational-based training where paramedics are taught using a protocol-based approach will be replaced by a knowledge-based approach similar to that used in Medical and Nursing education.
This course will provide learners the skills and knowledge on the followings modules:
1) Post-Diploma Certificate in Essentials of Paramedic Practice (150 hours)
2) Post-Diploma Certificate in Paramedical Management of Trauma Emergencies (150 hours)
3) Post-Diploma Certificate in Paramedical Management of Cardiorespiratory Emergencies (150 hours)
4) Post-Diploma Certificate in Paramedical Management of Non-Cardiorespiratory Emergencies (150 hours)
5) Post-Diploma Certificate in Paramedical Management of Special Populations (135 hours)
6)  Post-Diploma Certificate in Paramedical Management of Special Incidents (165 hours)
What You'll Learn
In line with aim, learners will be given a strong foundation in the theory of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and Pathophysiology, which will enable them to exercise their own diagnostic and therapeutic skills within the boundaries of broader clinical guidelines.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the course, candidates must possess the following:
•	Local polytechnic diploma or equivalent or any degree from a recognized university
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course on a case by case basis based on:
Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
Suitable applicants who are shortlisted may have to go through an interview.    
Due to the special requirements of the healthcare profession, all applicants have to pass a medical examination and to submit their blood screening and vaccination records according to MOH’s established standard set of screening and vaccination requirements.
