About This Course
"At the end of the course, students are expected to:
1. Demonstrate enhanced assessment competencies and treatment modelities in care of older adults.
2. Develop increase specialized knowledge on geriatric conditions and their impacts on older adult’s daily lives.
3. Iincrease prepareness of social work practitioners in response to long-term care in an aging society and the implications on aging in place.
4. Demonstrate abilities to assess program plans and gerontological social work interventions that are sensitive to different interests, needs and desires for older persons in relation to heterogeneity in ageing population."
