About This Course
"At the end of the course, students are expected to:
1. Demonstrate conceptual understanding of family violence and its dynamics, the legal provisions, and different models of working in family and interpersonal violence.
2. Utilize casework and treatment group modalities in engaging survivors, men who abuse, child witnesses;
3. Demonstrate understanding and ethical practices with victims and pretrators
4. Network and collaborate with key players such as Court, Police, MSF, hospitals and other social services;
5. Apply skills in case management services.

What You'll Learn
Family and interpersonal violence have been given prominence in the last decade. Social workers are increasingly identified as key providers of socio-emotional services to this target group. This module will cover konwledge and skills pertaining to interpersonal violence.
Entry Requirements
A Bachelor degree in any discipline and minimum 3 years of working experience as Social Service Practitioner
