About This Course
The objective for this course remains the same – to equip learners with a broad-based foundation in mechatronics and to give an exposure to advanced automation and emerging technologies.
What You'll Learn
• Conduct tests and measurements, and analyse and interpret the results.
• Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering to understand and use emerging technologies for advanced manufacturing.
• Apply the knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools appropriate to solve engineering problems, especially relating to automation and manufacturing.
• Apply technical expertise in mechanical, electronic, control and software engineering in improving process and product
• Employ best practises in managing engineering projects
Entry Requirements
•GCE 'O' level with 3 relevant passes.
•Nitec GPA ≥ 2.0.
•Higher Nitec.
•Nitec in Technology with GPA ≥ 2.0.
•Higher Nitec in Technology.
•Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher) qualifications and Level 6 for both WSQ Workplace Literacy and Workplace Numeracy.
•For applicants who do not meet the entry requirements but with relevant experience can be assessed as potentially suitable candidates, the polytechnic may at its discretion consider such candidates for written and/or oral assessments. The polytechnic reserves the right to accept candidates based on their performance at this assessment.
