What You'll Learn
โThe Associate Product Designer is responsible for the design and development of the product line lifecycle, including the end-to-end iterative design process. He/She leads product development in the conceptualisation and design phase, including research performance, job stories creation, journey mapping, content modelling, wire-framing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals generation to achieve design solutions.
a. Note on Associate Product Designer role: In industry terminology, this role can also be defined as more specialised i.e., UX Designer, UI Designer, depending on the size and needs of the company.
The Associate Product Manager manages the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, acting as a liaison to support product positioning and customer demand. He/She guides product development from conception to launch, evaluating product functionalities and performance, and proposing enhancements and/or improvements to products based on market feedback. He analyses potential partner relationships for the product, and generates innovative ideas to grow market share, improves customer experience and drive growth.โ
Entry Requirements
The recommended entry requirement for this course is a polytechnic diploma or higher qualification in one of these related design disciplines: digital media design, interaction design, product design, visual communication design and web design.
Recognition of Prior Learning: Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may apply for admission to the course by producing evidence of at least two years relevant working experience or supporting information to ascertain their competency readiness.
