What You'll Learn

This course starts with the exploration on the concept of inclusion and disability before advancing to planning intervention and support strategies for persons with disability, with focus on understanding and interpreting needs and behaviours. Strategies of responding to needs of persons with disability are examined to facilitate effective interaction and communication. Approaches to building positive relationships and communicating information to persons with disability and their
caregivers in a sensitive manner are addressed in this course.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent
• Be able to listen and speak English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) level 6
• Be able to read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the ESWSQ WPL level 6
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to ES WSQ Work-place Numeracy (WPN) level 6
