What You'll Learn
This module aims to develop participants’ personal and professional development skills and competencies for effective interpersonal and professional relationships. Participants will learn to utilise developmental models such as the Competence Model to develop and implement professional self-awareness and self-care. They will use the nomological network of self-care strategies to examine their professional growth and career successes. Participants will also develop their ability to use reflective techniques, such as Gibbs reflective cycle model and Brookesfield reflective cycle to augment their work with individuals and groups in youth and student support and development settings.
Entry Requirements
• Relevant local polytechnic diploma or higher qualification in any qualification;
• Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicant.
