What You'll Learn
This module aims to ingrain the language of research and arm participants with a collection of research methodologies, contextualized for youth work and social service. Students will learn about the knowledge and skills required to design and implement research studies to evaluate the effectiveness of programmes, including qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods. Topics covered will include Factor Analysis, Anova, K-mean, Rasch Analysis. Participants will also deepen their knowledge and skills to identify and select appropriate data analytics tool(s) to generate the eventual research analyses, as well as skills to communicate research findings through the usage of data visualisation tools and techniques.
Entry Requirements
• Relevant local polytechnic diploma or higher qualification in any qualification;
• Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicant.
