About This Course
The course is specially designed for aspiring or existing industrial engineer, production planner and factory manager with keen interest or basic knowledge in the area of capacity planning for production resources such as machine, manpower and incoming production materials from suppliers. The learners should also be equipped with basic skill in using excel to plan for their work operations.
What You'll Learn
This course is designed for manufacturing companies in sectors such as food, precision engineering, construction, and semiconductor manufacturing. Based on our past engagements, the common pain points encountered include,
• Manpower issues related to labour shortages and upskilling of workers for more value-added jobs in manufacturing
• Frequent congestion of work-in-progress parts under a space constrained (small or/ and multi-level/ location) production space
• Inefficient utilisation of production resources such as machines and transporters in a high product mix manufacturing environment
In particular, it addresses the pain points by
(i) Streamlining the production flow prior to factory automation
(ii) Better planning and management of existing production system using relevant decision analysis methods
It equips the manufacturing workforce with skills and knowledge required for efficient resource planning and management of a flexible production system
