At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. create secure communications between edge devices and gateways, and between gateways and backend cloud servers
2. develop the skills to design and build resilient and scalable backend servers
What You'll Learn
In this course, learners acquire the skills and knowledge to build secure, resilient and scalable backend cloud servers for the Internet of Things (IoT). Topics covered include the basics of cryptography, digital signatures and certificates, generation of cryptographic keys and certificates, securing Message Queueing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) and Representational State Transfer (RESTful) servers with Transport Layer Security, and designing scalable and resilient backend cloud servers.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Mathematics, with programming knowledge. Other Bachelor Degree holders who can exhibit programming experience may also be considered. Learners must have completed the Basics of Communications for the Internet of Things course.
