About This Course
This course aims to better prepare working adults with necessary skills and knowledge for future career advancement to meet the future demands for the necessary skillsets targeting advanced manufacturing in the Precision Engineering (PE) sector. It aims to enable the lower levels of in-service technical personnel to upgrade themselves as well as train engineering technologists to meet the future demands as highlighted in the Precision Engineering Industry Transformation Map (PE ITM).

Entry Requirements
Academic qualifications of in-service mechanical/manufacturing industry personnel can vary between secondary and higher NITEC. Entry requirements to the proposed course are in line with MOE's recommendation and baseline minimum entry requirements may however be as follows:
• Three (3) GCE ‘O’ level (Grades 1 – 7) for English Language, (Grade 1 – 6) for Mathematics and Science with at least of One (1) year of relevant work experience.
• NITEC in an engineering discipline with GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Nitec in Technology in an engineering discipline with GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least One (1) year of relevant working experience and successful completion of bridging programme conducted by ITE.
• Higher Nitec in engineering discipline with GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Higher Nitec in engineering discipline with GPA of 1.5 or higher with at least One (1) year of relevant working experience and successful completion of bridging programme conducted by ITE.
