About This Course
To provide the lifesaving technique for childcare centres personnel in providing first aid training and the importance of rendering first aid in order to save casualty of lives. It also addresses the specific needs and challenges in providing centre-based infant care/childcare services.At the end of the course, trainees will be able to :
• Recognize a medical emergency situation involving Child and infant
• Activate appropriate emergency response system and follow the Emergency Action Principles
• Perform CPR on child and infant during Emergency
• Perform the appropriate first aid treatment for Foreign Body Airway Obstruction on Child and Infant
• Identify common medical illness of child and infant
What You'll Learn
The Child First Aid course is a compulsory course for Childcare and preschool professionals under Early Childhood Development Agency’s licensing framework. The aim of the course is to provide relevant knowledge and skills in rendering first aid treatment to a child or infant during any emergency at the childcare or preschool centre.
