Commercial Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (CSCUBA) Diver Course
About This Course
The CSCUBA Diver course is an approved Ministry of Manpower WSH course. It aims to train the Learner to the required competencies for certification as a commercial diver for commercial diving operations using Commercial Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (CSCUBA) (No decompression, maximum depth 30m).
The training and assessments are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the relevant legislations, codes of practices and WSH guidelines e.g. Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA); Code of Practice for Diving at Work (Singapore Standards SS511:2018); MOM Technical Notes Part II for Inland/Inshore CSCUBA & SSDE Divers and
Commercial Diving Competency Standard for Inland/Inshore CSCUBA and SSDE Divers.
What You'll Learn
The course is conducted in English. Learner shall attend both classroom and practical sessions to attain competencies as a CSCUBA diver. The competency units are:

1. Legislation and Standards
2. Diving Theory – Physics
3. Diving Theory – Physiology
4. Diving Procedures
5. Underwater and Surface Operational Hazards
6. Documentation and Records
Specific Competency Units:
1. CSCUBA – Diving Equipment, System, Procedures and Practices
2. CSCUBA Diving
Entry Requirements
1. Possess valid certificate of medical fitness to dive issued by a doctor who is trained and qualified in Underwater Medicine (according to SS511:2018)
2. Be at least 18 years of age
3. Be a competent swimmer
4. Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and simple fractions
5. Be able to calculate percentages; and transpose and solve simple formula e.g. gas law
6. Understand written and verbal communication (using English), and communicate easily with others
7. Hold a certificate from a recognized first aid course. (e.g. Occupational First Aid/Diving First Aid)
8. Preferably hold a recognized recreational SCUBA qualification
