What You'll Learn
The AWSH in Metalworking course (MSOC) was planned to help construction workers learn the essential work requirements on site, ensuring better safety standards. Workers will also be taught how to respond to emergencies, and comprehend their position and tasks in the metalworking factory. By ensuring that the workers know what to do, there can be a higher level of safety and productivity in the factory.
Entry Requirements
Learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:
• Have employment status as manual labour to carry out work in a factory engaged in the manufacture of basic metals, fabricated metal products, machinery or equipment and electrical machinery and apparatus
• Be medically fit.
• Be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills (ES) level 2
• Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills (ES) level 2
• Have good organizational skills
• Be able to follow written and oral work instructions
