About This Course
At the end of the course, participants should be able to:
1. How to use Greenhouse Gas Protocol to perform greenhouse gas emission reporting & calculation for:
a. Scope 1 emissions
b. Scope 2 emissions
c. Scope 3 supply chain emission
2. How to set GHG reduction targets in company’s carbon reporting
3. Familiarize with carbon reporting layout
What You'll Learn
Participants will learn Greenhouse Gas (GHG)/Carbon Accounting Principles. Participants will learn from General Reporting Protocol (GRP) to specify organizational and operational boundaries and identify the scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. We will use the most common protocol - Greenhouse Gas Protocol from World Resource Institute and wbcsd to calculate scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions. We will teach students how to use The Climate Registry (TCR) to search for emission factors and use the emission factors for emissions calculations for different types of equipment, machines, or vehicles. Students will learn how to set GHG reduction targets in reporting and learn about the science-based target (SBTi).
