What You'll Learn
The Common Arts, Media and Design Programme (CAP) is a one-year programme that serves as a way for students to explore the fascinating fields of art, design, and media.
CAP also immerses students in a spectrum of interdisciplinary skills and knowledge required by art, media, and design disciplines. The programme covers topics such as storytelling, drawing, design, user experience, digital content creation, and creative software competencies.
CAP serves as a foundational year for all diplomas in STA. Students will get to mingle with diploma students and learn first-hand from their peers.
In their first year, students participate in foundational modules that will help them discover the different related disciplines. This will allow them to familiarise themselves with RP's learning style and various aspects of the related fields of study before deciding on their choice of diploma.
In the second semester, students can take on electives to expand their knowledge of topics that interest them, before progressing into their chosen diploma in Year 2.
Students can choose one of the following diplomas:
- Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Production Management
- Diploma in Design
- Diploma in Digital Content Creation
- Diploma in Sonic Arts
