At the end of the training, the course would equip participants with the following learning outcomes:
• Demonstrate understanding of the needs of students based on their cognitive and psychosocial development
• Demonstrate the competency of needs assessment of students during interactions with students
• Demonstrate the competency of application of the communication strategies with students according to the needs of students
What You'll Learn
This 16- hour short course adopting a blended learning model over 2 days delves into the area of effective communication with students. Learners will learn about the needs of the students aged 7-14 years old evolving from their cognitive and psychosocial development, and ways to identify these needs during interactions with students. Communication strategies in responding to the needs and behaviour of the students will be covered.
This is one of the four short courses that can be taken separately by learners and stacked towards the Certificate in Student Management.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should preferably have some working experiences with children and with managing a classroom for primary school going children
