At the end of the course, participants will:
a. understand the difference between mental health and mental illness
b. identify what leads to poor mental health and the symptoms
c. understand what is workplace stress and job burnout
d. employ strategies to maintain and sustain positive mental health
e. recognise the stigma associated with mental health issues
f. appreciate the importance of self-care
g. be aware of suicide ideation risks and management as well as interventions
h. know what constitutes self-harm

What You'll Learn
The course addresses mental health for all during the pandemic and beyond. Participants will look at the psychological difficulties and associated risk factors such as self-harm and suicide ideation during the pandemic, the role of everyone in mental health, and discuss interventions for improving mental health literacy in everyone. It will provide opportunities for participants to recognise and identify factors that put the mental health of people surrounding them at elevated risk, and learn about quality mental health care and psychosocial support services.
