About This Course
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
• LO1. Describe the types, functions and operating principles of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems, and their components
• LO2. Perform preparation work to conduct preventive maintenance on air-conditioning systems
• LO3. Perform serviceability checks on air-conditioning systems
• LO4. Perform preventive maintenance and servicing in accordance with organisational maintenance procedures and/or technical manuals, and safety guidelines
• LO5. Record maintenance activities and report faults identified
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements
• At least 16 years old
• Have minimum primary school education
• Have a basic knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health requirements
• Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3
• Have a keen interest in how air conditioning systems work and willing to participate in practical hands-on in semi-outdoor areas
• No prior maintenance/technical work experience required
