About This Course

This programme will help the learners gain a perspective of identifying employees who are challenged mentally based on performances at work and the know-how in coaching and guiding the employees. At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

Understand common mental well-being problems
- Identify and explain the common signs and symptoms of burnout
- Identify an employee who is experiencing burnout symptoms
Connect and communicate with direct reports
- Help employee with causes of stress to identify their triggers
Support employees experiencing mental well-being issues
- Engaging employees to practice self-care strategies
Managing mental well-being issues in the workplace
- Sharing of key support resources in the organisation
- Advising and modelling self-care practices in the workplace

What You'll Learn

Living in an age where technology is advancing quickly and organisations need to keep up with the pace, it is easy for the pressure of work to build up and for employees to end up leaving work stressed because of the demands placed on them. Organisations are under increasing strain to balance business profitability, manage a high performing workforce while developing staff, boost engagement, and supporting employees’ work-life balance. Coaching can be used to maximise the individual’s potential by unlocking talent and sources of productivity.

This programme is designed to help business professionals understand and learn the know-how of successful and effective coaching skill, supporting employees through their mental wellness challenges, eventually in-creasing the resiliency of the workforce for the organisation.

Entry Requirements

It is assumed that the participants should minimally possess the following profile:
• Possess a minimum of O-Levels or equivalent level of education; or
• Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and
• Have more than 1 year of work experience; and
• Have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
