- Understand what service-learning and the core components of planning is and implementing a quality service-learning project
- Identify the different stages, tasks and roles needed to complete a service-learning project
- Understand the importance of reflection throughout the service-learning

What You'll Learn

Service-Learning – a teaching and learning approach to develop youths by engaging them in meaningful service with their communities, through connection between curriculum and real needs.

This course provides an in-depth view of service-learning and the tools to facilitate service-learning projects. At the end of the course, participants will be equipped with the competencies to plan and execute service-learning projects. In addition, to impart knowledge for students who participate in service-learning to gain from these 3 outcomes – civic engagement, academic connection and personal growth.
