About This Course
By the end of this course, participants can expect to:
1) Describe and explain IoT technology
2) Describe and explain the working principle of MQTT protocol
3) Develop a simple project to remote control devices using ESP microcontroller, sensors, and Arduino coding.
4) Apply basic knowledge of circuit and electronics, as well as develop soldering skills.
What You'll Learn
It is a 2 days workshop to introduce Internet of Things (IoT) technology and the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT), a popular communication protocol for IoT devices. Participants will have a chance to develop simple IoT devices/prototypes to demonstrate the applications of IoT. Through the hands‐on project using an ESP microcontroller, participants can learn about Arduino coding, physics of various sensors, simple circuit and electronics, soldering skills and so on.
Entry Requirements
Basic Knowledge of English, computer, internet & websites.
Optional: prior knowledge of Arduino coding/C++.
