Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT)
About This Course
Participants will learn how to integrate privacy requirements into the evaluation, specification, development of technology, products, systems and processes.
They will learn the basic elements for embedding privacy into technology, describe the fundamentals of privacy as they relate to the privacy technologist, identify the risks to privacy that are inherent in the data life cycle and explain how software security helps to mitigate privacy threats, how technical measures and privacy-enhancing technologies may be used to enhance privacy throughout all steps of the data life-cycle, learn the role of privacy engineering within an organization, understand the process and methodology of the privacy-by-design, examine the unique challenges that new and emerging technologies in privacy issues.
What You'll Learn
This course is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills on how to integrate privacy preserving principles and designs into technology, products and systems that not only comply with the laws but also gain the trust of consumers. With technologies becoming more pervasive and ubiquitous, companies need effectively manage privacy risks in technologies and products. These include how to evaluate, buy, develop, or deploy technologies into products and systems that protect its users' privacy.
Entry Requirements
1) A level or above
2) Basic knowledge of data protection principle preferred but not mandatory. Basic data protection knowledge can be acquired through courses such as Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) fundamentals of Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), or Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E)
3) Two years or more working experience would be preferred but not mandatory
4) Basic IT knowledge
