About This Course
This is a specialised module that enables the student to develop a framework for the achievement excellence in the operation of a smart factory in the context of Industry 4.0.
What You'll Learn
The module aims to raise the students' awareness of the strategic convergence of the physical and digital worlds afforded by Industry 4.0. Students will learn how to improve the performance of a company’s operations through better planning and management of people, processes and data. The Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) would be introduced as a tool for the student to assist a company in the formulation of a clear vision, strategy and a systematic roadmap in the adoption of Industry 4.0.
This course will mainly be conducted through workshops and case studies. There will be also be individual and group assignments as part of continuous assessment. At the end of the module, students will need to complete a final examination.
