This course will take you through a reflective journey to understand your own developmental plan and motivations before learning the skillsets to develop others through goal setting, coaching, mentoring and provide constructive feedback.

Learn the difference between mentoring and coaching and how you can apply them strategically to motivate and empower team members to achieve better performance.

What You'll Learn

Companies today operate in a highly competitive business environment. As the nature of work itself changes, there is a need for HR to be forward-thinking and be able to act as strategic business partners and enablers of human capital development. As part of this strategic partnership, HR business partners must be able to identify relevant learning and development programmes for employees to equip them with competencies to perform their jobs effectively and build strong organisational capabilities to support a company’s business strategy and goals.

Coaching and Development is designed to improve employee engagement, boost confidence, increase retention, strengthen relationships, and, most of all, invest in employees to reach their highest potential. Business goals typically prioritize saving costs and increasing margins, but developing employees also contributes to the bottom line.

By investing in employee development and providing them with an environment where they can be successful, it creates an environment that means success for the company. Ultimately, leaders should not express themselves just as managers, or bosses, but instead as coaches and mentors. This kind of mindset will bring success to both the company and individual career development.

This programme has been designed to help one look into how they can improve the performance of their staff through developmental coaching.

Entry Requirements

It is assumed that the participant’s should minimally possessed the following profile:
• Possess minimum of Diploma or equivalent level of education; or
• Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and
• Have more than 1 years or more of work experience; and
• Have at least 1 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role
