About This Course

LO1: Describe the different types of Western Dry-Heat cooking methods.
LO2: Use the correct tools & equipment safely and prepare ingredients to cook the dishes.
LO3: Use the types of ingredients stated in the recipe to cook the dishes using dry-heat cooking methods and store ingredients according to the nature of the ingredients and in accordance with Singapore Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1 Standards.
LO4: Clean up the tools and equipment and reinstate the workstations to its original state.

What You'll Learn

LU1: The different types of Western Dry-heat cooking methods
LU2: The basic fundamentals of ingredients, tools & equipment used and the safety in using these tools & equipment.
LU3: The steps in cooking the dishes using dry-heat cooking methods and storing of ingredients and finished products. The preparation of the dishes is in accordance with Singapore Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1 Standards, which is the entry level for all food handlers to work in F&B sector.
LU4: Reinstate workstations

Entry Requirements

· No prior experience or knowledge required.
· Min 18 years old.
· Primary school level onwards.
Able to read, write and speak in English (WLPN Level 3 and above)
