Career Counselling Project
About This Course
•	Analyse clients’ needs using career and counselling theories to help them in self-awareness and assessment of their ability, values, interests & personality. 
•	Evaluate the appropriate assessment tools to help clients assess their career choice or make their career decision. 
•	Work with the clients collaboratively to set their career goals and develop holistic career plans. 
•	Identify clients’ issues and propose intervention (e.g. action plan and developmental programmes) that would help them address obstacles to their goal fulfilment. 
•	Coach clients to use job market information and resources for job search, exploration of career options, and analysis of jobs (tasks, functions, requirements, outlook, etc.) and the job markets.
What You'll Learn
The aim of this module is to provide students with the practical experience of career counselling. He or she will be expected to provide the complete range of career counselling services for an actual client and present holistic solutions for the client’s needs, motivation, life-stage demands, skills and competencies, values and goals.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess at least a local diploma qualification or equivalent from recognised institution.   
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
