Career Development and Counselling
About This Course
•	Develop competencies in career theories and models to be applied in various settings and across the lifespan. 
•	Evaluate career assessment tools for use within the practice of career development and counselling.  
•	Assist clients in developing job search skills and strategies in tackling where and how to find employment in the job market. 
•	Apply counselling and coaching skills in the career planning and job-seeking processes. 
•	Adhere to professional and ethical standards related to career practitioners as stipulated by international/national counselling associations
What You'll Learn
The aim of this module is to provide participants with career development theories and practices to assist clients in making choices about themselves and their careers, incorporating their family needs and their styles of interaction in the most meaningful way.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess at least a local diploma qualification or equivalent from recognised institution.   
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
