Communication with Community Partners
About This Course
Students will use these community resources to help the community grow and improve the resident’s quality of life. As a result, students will be able to effectively coordinate health and social care in the community with community partners.
What You'll Learn
This module will introduce students to the integrated healthcare system in Singapore. Students will be taught to identify the community resources or assets for clients with health and social issues. These assets include people, places or structures and community services
Entry Requirements
O Levels
• 3 relevant passes; and
• At least 1 year relevant work experience
Higher Nitec
• GPA ≥ 2.0; or
• GPA ≥ 1.5 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
Nitec
• GPA ≥ 3.5; or
•GPA ≥ 3.0 and at least 1 year relevant work
Higher Nitec in Technology / Services
• GPA ≥ 2.0 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
Nitec in Technology / Services
• GPA ≥ 3.5 and at least 1 year relevant work experience
WSQ
• Relevant WSQ Advanced Certificate (or higher); and
• At least 1 year relevant work experience; and
• Level 6 WSQ Workplace Literacy SOA and Workplace Numeracy SOA
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least 2 years of relevant working experience. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
