About This Course
At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to:
• Gain an in-depth understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and their relevance in the financial industry
• Design a social financing framework and sustainability-linked financing framework
• Learn how to effectively align an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) financing framework with the requirements of financial institutions
• Understand the engagement process behind how corporates communicate with ESG rating agencies to successfully commission a second party opinion (SPO)

Businesses and investors globally have increasingly embraced Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) as an important part of business sustainability. This has also in recent years become a crucial metric that investors and key business stakeholders focus on. To effectively navigate the fundraising environment against this backdrop, companies need to understand how to align their ESG and sustainability-linked practices to the requirements of investors, financial institutions and stakeholders. This course aims to equip participants with a practical approach towards issuing a social loan or sustainability-linked loan using an ESG and/or sustainability-linked framework commonly referenced by banks and institutional investors within the industry.
