About This Course
By the end of the course, you will be able to operate a Powered-Lift Unmanned Aircraft (UA) of up to 7kg competently. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong understanding in the following areas:
1. Operating a Powered-Lift UA system
• Pre-flight and post-flight checks of the UA, with reference to the Original Equipment Manufacturer documents and training manuals
• Take-Off, Precision Hovering and Precision Landing
• Transition From Hover To Forward Flight
• Transition From Forward Flight To Hover
• Straight And Level Circuit In Forward Flight
• Figure Of ‘8’ In Forward Flight
• Stall Recovery
• Low Pass / Go-Around
• Mission Planning and Execution

Republic Polytechnic’s Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License (UAPL) practical course is recommended for Class A (Powered Lift) UAPL applicants who aims to renew their category Powered Lift UA systems weighing up to 7kg take-off weight. The purpose of this course is to provide applicants with practical knowledge and competency to pass a compulsory practical assessment prior to a UAPL renewal with Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS).
This 1 day course will provide basic and advance flight operations for the following types of powered lift systems:
1)Powered Lift system less than 7kg Take-Off Weight (TOW)
A practical assessment will be conducted by CAAS Authorised Flight Examiners (AFE) at the end of this course. With their CAAS UAPL practical assessment results, applicants will be able to renew their respective Class A – Powered Lift UAPL (Limited to 7kg) with CAAS upon successful completion of the practical assessment.
