MEC6015 Project Management
About This Course
This module provides students with a fundamental understanding of the principles of project management. Students will learn the concept and processes of project management, so that students can apply the knowledge into managing their current and future projects using scientific methodologies. The topics include the project management process groups, project integration management, project scope management, project stakeholder management, project schedule management, project cost management, project quality management, human resource management, communications management, procurement management and project risks management etc. Computer tools will be introduced to provide hands-on practical skills with the above topics. Students will apply the knowledge learnt in this module on a serials of case studies and project tasks. Assessment will be through quizzes and team-based project tasks.
