About This Course
The Conversational Japanese Beginner 1 course is for non-native Japanese Speakers.
This course focuses on communication skills, basic grammar, listening & reading skills necessary for success in introductory Japanese as a Foreign language.
By the end of this course, students will be able to hold a basic conversation in Japanese with improvement in all four essential skills speaking, listening, reading & writing.
Students also gain a grounding in Japanese pronunciation, grammar, and essential vocabulary to understand basic phrases and terms used in day-to-day situations.
The course focus is less technical and improvements can be seen fast. Contents focus on more breadth and exposure rather than technical semantics.
Supported by audiovisual aids, students will receive intensive practise in spoken and written Japanese through interactive class work, homework and online exercises with special emphasis on oral communication and pronunciation.
We will introduce activities outside the classroom, especially using social networks for high acceptance because students can meet people with the same interests and because it is important to encourage self-learning.
Course Objectives
After completing 24 hours of learning from this course, learners will achieve a good basic Japanese proficiency level needed for business people, which means they will acquire certain listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and be able to use Japanese to fulfil business and social communication activities and tasks encountered in their business workplace life, study and work requirements.
