This course focus on developing secure software. It looks into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and identifies security related practices at various stages of the development lifecycle. Topics include Eliciting security requirements, threat modelling-Attacker centric, Asset Centric, Software centric, Confidentiality Integrity Authentication and Non-Repudiation (CIAN), secure design patterns, secure design principles, reducing the attack surface, secure coding, testing for security, defect collection, analysis and root cause removal. Challenges in agile development methodology (SCRUM).
