By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

• Analyze the legal and regulatory frameworks related to carbon accounting, including mandatory reporting requirements and voluntary disclosure initiatives.
• Gain knowledge of the different frameworks and standards used for carbon accounting, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the IFRS Sustainability-related Disclosures Standard.
• Conduct a comprehensive carbon footprint analysis for a business, including the calculation of greenhouse gas emissions and the identification of reduction strategies.
• Apply critical thinking skills to analyze and evaluate case studies and real-world examples of carbon accounting practices, and assess the challenges and limitations of these practices.
