What You'll Learn
This course explores the various types of special needs, their causes and characteristics. The needs and challenges of children with special needs are examined alongside the merits of early diagnosis and intervention. The role of professionals in supporting children with special needs are discussed.
Entry Requirements
• basic understanding of the characteristics of the different types of disabilities
• A minimum of GCE ‘N’ Level with credits including English Language as a first language; or
• Be able to listen, speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualifications (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5
