About This Course
The objective of the course is to train aquaculture farm personnel and others interested in approaches that would help ensure food safety and quality as well as responsible aquaculture farm operations and practices, resource and farm waste management.
What You'll Learn
Different farm practices often lead to inconsistent farm productivity and environmental pollution. This would have an impact on sustainability of aquaculture production and environment. For aquaculture to be sustainable, it is imperative for one to commit to ensuring optimization of aquaculture practices to reduce environmental pollution and feed wastage, resource utilitzation and farm waste circularity. This would help minimize undesirable impact on the farming environment. Through the certificate course, participants would be able to learn about approaches in ensuring food safety and quality of farm produce; responsible farm operations and practices; farm and environment management; water, feed and energy use management; harvest and post-harvest as well as product quality and traceability
