About This Course
(i) To understand and apply the second diamond of the critical design thinking framework, which includes the 'ideate' and 'prototype' stages. This involves harnessing creativity and critical thinking to generate a broad range of potential solutions and narrow these down to the most promising ideas.
(ii) To learn and apply various ideation techniques such as brainstorming, mind mapping, and lateral thinking to encourage the generation of innovative solutions.
(iii) To understand the principles and techniques of prototyping, and create low-fidelity prototypes of selected solutions. This includes learning to embrace a 'fail fast, learn fast' mindset to iteratively test and refine the prototype based on feedback and user testing.
(iv) To recognise and apply powerful storytelling techniques in persuasion during presentations, which can be a tool for positive influence.
What You'll Learn
This workshop takes you into the second diamond of the critical design thinking framework, where you'll unleash your creativity to ideate innovative solutions tailored to the challenges of the Technical & Operations context of the banking industry and bring them to life through prototyping. You'll learn and apply various ideation techniques like brainstorming, mind mapping, and bodystorming (scenarios) during hands-on sessions. You'll also engage in rapid prototyping activities, using materials provided to create low-fidelity prototypes of your ideas. Role-play activities will simulate user testing sessions, helping you to refine your prototypes based on user feedback. You will also learn powerful storytelling techniques for impactful presentation of your proposed solution. The workshop concludes with an assessment where you'll present to senior management and justify your prototype solution for a given problem. You can look forward to solving an authentic problem you are facing at work. Constructive feedback will be provided, emphasizing the iterative nature of the design thinking process.
