What You'll Learn
PM (Project Management)–Ready aims to empower both leaders and members of a team to sharpen their project management capabilities. You will be introduced to project management concepts and how to apply them effectively to plan as well as manage real-life projects and gain business insights.
As part of the course, you are expected to work on a project that is relevant to you. At the same time, you will be coached by an experienced project manager as you familiarise with the essential steps and processes of project management – from conceptualisation to quality management, task breakdown, budget management, risk management, progress monitoring, and project closure.
The course will be conducted in 3 phases:
1. Foundations of Project Management:
Participants will begin by gaining a solid understanding of fundamental project management concepts. They will learn about project lifecycle, stakeholder management, and the importance of clear objectives. Through interactive sessions, participants will grasp the basics needed to initiate and structure projects effectively.
2. Practical Application and Skill Development:
In this phase, participants will apply their newfound knowledge to real-life projects. Working closely with experienced project managers, they will learn how to translate concepts into action. Key areas of focus include task breakdown, budgeting, risk assessment, and quality control. Through hands-on exercises and case studies, participants will hone their project management skills and gain business insights.
3. Advanced Techniques and Project Optimization:
Building on their foundational knowledge, participants will delve deeper into advanced project management techniques. They will explore strategies for optimizing project performance, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges proactively. Special attention will be given to project closure, including lessons learned and stakeholder communication.
