• Evaluate the impacts of pain on individuals and societies
• Assess dietary factors associated with pain
• Create dietary care plan for alleviating pain

What You'll Learn

Pain is a health condition suffered by almost everyone in the world. It affects daily life of the sufferers as well as people close to them. Studies have found that overweight, suboptimal nutrition status and erratic dietary patterns could contribute to the occurrence and development of chronic pain. In this module, learners will learn about the anatomy and physiology of pain as well as the roles of food and nutrition in alleviating or aggravating pain.

Learners are also required to develop dietary care plans in attempt to prevent/ alleviate pain experienced by specific groups of people.
