About This Course

The module Drug Information (part of PDC2 of Advanced Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences) offers a training duration of 30 hours. This module would assist pharmacists in provision of basic clinical services in pharmacist-led clinics.

What You'll Learn

This module aims to train participants to take on a systematic approach for handling of drug enquiries. Participants will be taught how to obtain background information in relation to the drug information request, conduct systematic literature search, formulate and communicate a drug information response to the request. Reporting and evaluation of adverse drug reactions will also be covered.

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement is:
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science(s)/ Pharmacy Science from a local polytechnic.
• For participants who do not hold the aforementioned qualification, they must possess a diploma, passed the Certified Pharmacy Technician Course (CPTC) conducted by the Pharmaceutical Society of Singapore (PSS) and have at least 2 years of relevant working experience (i.e. working in a pharmacy as a pharmacy assistant / pharmacy technician)

Applicants who do not have the necessary educational qualifications but have substantial relevant working experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
