About This Course
LO1: Provide users with assistance in defining and clarifying their access rights and privileges based on the access rights principles
LO2: Manage complex access control rights, permissions and escalated issues
LO3: Conduct investigations of incidents involving unauthorised access and security breaches according to established procedures
LO4: Configure and administer security mechanisms on non-standard system and network
LO5: Configure authentication software and features of network devices to prevent security breaches
LO6: Troubleshoot security software using appropriate troubleshooting techniques after implementation
LO7: Assess the impact of patches and updates on the current system
LO8: Manage new and complex security programmes for the organisation according to the system and network complexities

Entry Requirements
Education : Diploma level recommended.
This course is targeted toward an Information Technology (IT) professional who has networking and administrative skills in Windows-based TCP/IP networks and familiarity with other operating systems, such as OS X, Unix, or Linux, and who wants to further a career in IT by acquiring a foundational knowledge of security topics; prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification examination; or use Security+ as the foundation for advanced security certifications or career roles.
Participants that do not meet the above skillsets will be recommended to attend foundation classes to gain knowledge before embarking on this course.
