About This Course
At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to:
• Review the history and development of financial technology, Fintech regulation, and crises
• Describe the different Fintech development paths of the developed and emerging markets
• Review the digital disruption from China and responses from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
• Discuss the relationship between China and the United States (US) in Fintech investment, education, and development
• Review online financial instruments such as Peer to-Peer (P2P) loans and crowdfunding for Internet finance in the Chinese market
• Review e-commerce and digital finance development in China and their implications on rural villages using Alibaba as a successful case
• Explore the evolution of Fintech and its regulation in China

Entry Requirements
No prerequisites, but participants are strongly encouraged to go through the assigned pre-reading materials and videos, especially if one does not have any prior learning or working knowledge in the subject matter of this Module.
If the participant intends to register for the Chartered Fintech Professional examination following the completion of this training course, do note that an undergraduate degree from a recognised university or equivalent professional qualification is a compulsory enrolment requirement.
