About This Course
1. Promote a safe work environment in the healthcare and intermediate long-term care sectors and reduce the safety incidence among healthcare workers while handling clients and equipment used at the workplace.
2. Provide effective infection prevention and control measures at their work area.
3. Assess and report vital signs and pain, in accordance with instructions from therapists and to perform selected cognitive and functional assessment tasks guided by the therapists.
4. Communicate effectively to provide and receive clear and concise information within the healthcare setting, and the conduct of interpersonal communication in a person-centred approach.
5. Assist the nursing team in supporting clinical procedures and providing basic patient care delivery effectively.
6. Apply the types of normal and therapeutic diet for oral-feeding and naso-gastric tube-feeding in supporting patients to meet their nutritional needs.

Entry Requirements
• Obtained at least a C6 pass at N-Level in any 1 subject or equivalent OR
• Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 (Speaking, Listening, Reading & Numeracy) and Level 3 (Writing)
Obtained at least a AL6 pass for PSLE English or equivalent.
