About This Course

By the end of the course, learners will be able to confidently use data visualisation and storytelling to communicate complex ideas and insights to a variety of audiences. The course objectives include:
- Interpret the context of data and make informed decisions based on it.
- Communicate the limitations of data and interpretations of findings to their audience.
- provide insightful commentary that describes the context and underlying factors behind the visualised data patterns.
- understand the importance of selecting the appropriate data visualisation techniques to effectively communicate the message.
- communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
- benchmark both internal and external data to improve data-driven decision-making skills and enhanced business outcomes.
- communicate complex data insights more effectively.
- create visual dashboard to communicate complex data insights to different audiences, making it easier for them to make informed decisions based on the displayed data.

What You'll Learn

Data visualisation and storytelling proficiency course is designed to teach learners how to effectively communicate data through visualisations and compelling narratives. This course covers a range of topics, including data collection and analysis, data visualisation techniques, and storytelling strategies, where they will learn how to create visualisations that accurately convey complex data in a clear and concise manner, as well as how to tell stories that engage and inform their audience.

As such after going to this course, learners would be able to implement contemporary techniques, dynamic visual displays with illustrative and interactive graphics to present patterns, trends, analytical insights from data or new concepts in a strategic manner for the intended audience.

Entry Requirements

Learners are expected to:
Have completed GCE “N” Level or in the absence, be able to comprehend , read, write and speak English and with Numeracy at WSQ Workplace Literacy (WPLN) Level 5
No prior technical qualifications or experience is required but learners are expected to have:
Basic computer literacy
Basic Internet Usage skills

Min 1 year experience in the proposed job roles or 1 year relevant working experience in the related industries.

Learners who do not qualify in terms of education, literacy and/or numeracy but have at least 1 year of working experience in any industry will be admitted on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by Bells Management Representative (MR).
