About This Course

This module aims to educate participants on the development of sports specific training programmes. This will include the thought process and key considerations for designing programme from speed sports like rugby, to endurance sports like triathlons, as well as sports with a mix of speed and endurance like martial arts. There will also be an emphasis on the trainign needed to lower the risk of common injuries in these sports

• Design successful long term exercise programmes in improving sports performance and maintaining an active, sporting lifestyle
• Assess and analyse traditional and popular exercise programmes used presently in the area of sports performance
• Learn to select the right methods to suit different clients
• Coach fellow participants under the supervision of instructors
