The course objectives for Diploma (Conversion) in Web and Programming (NVWP) remain unchanged, as follows:
a) To provide training on optimising website design and creation.
b) To provide training on client side programming.
c) To provide training on programming fundamentals.
What You'll Learn
The Diploma (Conversion) in Web and Programming (NVWP) is a 1 year part-time course, designed for non-IT Diploma/Degree holders who wish to learn new skills in web and programming.
The course aims to provide focused training to equip participants in the fundamentals of web development. Participants will focus on picking up 2 core popular programming languages: Javascript and Python, which are widely used for web applications and data analytics. In addition, for user interface related web design, participants will pick up hypertext modelling language (html), cascading style sheets (css), bootstrap and some photoshop editing skills.
From the design perspective, participants will receive training on optimising website design and creation. From the technical perspective, participants will receive training in client side programming and fundamentals of programming.
The course is conducted using blended learning approach with facilitated learning pedagogy to promote skill-based training, helping students to work independently.

Entry Requirements
There is no change to the minimum entry requirement. Applicants need to have a minimum diploma qualification or university degree.
Applicants who do not have any technical IT knowledge may be required to take a basic IT literacy proficiency test to gauge their suitability for the course.
